Moon Station Woodworkers
Purpose: Our club's purpose is to provide a place where woodworking enthusiasts of all skill levels meet to swap their stories, learn new techniques, show off their latest wood creations and share a common interest.
Club Membership: Membership is open to woodworking enthusiasts of all ages, backgrounds and skill levels. We welcome everyone to come as a guest at our next meeting and see what we are all about. Why not bring a friend? They’ll be glad you did!
When and Where: The club meets at the Summit Baptist Church at 4310 Moon Station Lane in Acworth, Ga on the second Tuesday of each month. Doors open at 6:30 p.m. and the meeting begins officially at 7:00 p.m.
Our next meeting will be on October 14th 2008.

A Typical Meeting:
- DOORS OPEN: 6:30 P.M.
- 6:30 - 7:00: MEMBERS CAN PERUSE THE CLUB LIBRARY, SETUP THEIR SHOW & TELL PROJECTS OR JUST TAKE TIME TO MINGLE AND TALK SHOP WITH FELLOW MEMBERS & GUESTS.
- 7:00 P.M. THE MEETING OFFICIALLY BEGINS BY WELCOMING OUR GUESTS AND ANNOUNCING UPCOMING EVENTS AND OTHER PERTINENT NEWS.
- 7:45 P.M. GENERAL ROUND TABLE DISCUSSIONS BETWEEN MEMBERS ABOUT CURRENT PROJECTS, PROBLEMS, AND TIPS.
- GOOD-BYE TILL NEXT MONTH: MEETINGS USUALLY END BY 9:00 P.M. BUT, WITH SUCH GOOD COMPANY, FASCINATING INFORMATION TO SHARE, AND OUR LIBRARY TO GET YOUR NEXT IDEAS FROM IT OCCASIONALLY RUNS A LITTLE LONGER
Membership Dues: Dues are only $20.00 per year - per individual or couple.

Monthly Meeting Minutes
Sept 9 2008 - Great meeting!! Both Mark and Cliff had pictures of their latest projects that they shared via PowerPoint. Mike brought in a couple boxes that he had made. Tom brought in an above the sink shelf he had designed and built. We had a lot of great tips flying around and just some plain fun conversations.
Wooden Toy Contest - Toys are due at our Christmas Dinner on Saturday December 6th 2008. All that are in attendence will choose their top three, the votes will tabulated, and a winner will be announced at the end of the night.
Contest Rules:
- Toys must be for a boy or girl.
- Safe for ages 5 to 10 years old.
- Must be made of 75%+ wood.
- Can be stained or painted.
Suggested Ideas:
- Rocking Horses, Cradles, Puzzles, Blocks, Banks, Pull-along Toys, etc.
